Simple and Effective Phytochelatin and Glutathione Synthesis in Growth Medium of Arthrospira platensis PDFRabia ShubrataMolecular cloning and characterization of cpc and cp4h genes encoding cyclophilin-43 (Cyp43), and isomerase-4 (Iso4), respectively, from a cyanobacterial species Arthrospira platensis LS-47 was performed. Both cpc and cp4h were cloned into His-tagged pET-M11 expression vector and were transformed into Escherichia coli strain KRX cells. In order to express recombinant proteins, BL21(DE3) expression strain was used. The cpc and cp4h were induced under the optimized condition, and expressed in BL21(DE3) cells. Both recombinant Cpc and Cp4h proteins were purified by Ni-NTA affinity chromatography. The complete cpc and cp4h genes and amino acid sequences were analyzed. The purified recombinant proteins were identified by ELISA and western blot analysis. The presence of PC and GSH in the growth medium was investigated by HPLC. The cpc and cp4h were cloned from the A. platensis LS-47 with a PhD. study in NST, JBNU, Bangladesh. The chemical composition of the growth medium was found to contain additional sources of PC and GSH apart from the standard composition of the medium. Their presence was further confirmed by detection of cyclic peptides in the protein gel band of cpc and cp4h. The cyclic peptides were purified from the gel band and their presence in the commercially available bactocellarian peptone was confirmed.
A systematic modeling approach for predicting the performance of radio frequency (RF) wireless energy transfer systems in the hyperthermic treatment of prostate cancer is proposed in this paper. The impact of the model parameters, namely, the position, the number and the direction of energy transfer antennas as well as the rectilinear propagation of RF waves are presented through design considerations and numerical predictions. A mechanism for decreasing the lifetime of the energy transfer antennas due to the heating of tissues and air surrounding them is also developed. Various numerical examples show the effect of the proposed mechanism. d2c66b5586
